Making a 21 Day Commitment

I have made a commitment - to bettering myself. I know that sounds a bit dramatic but I am who I am , so dramatic it is.
I bought the 21 day fix last year around this time. A friend of mine was at beach body's coaches summit and was talking about this amazing program that people were getting astounding results with, so of course I bought it.
I got the program home with it's nutritional guide, color coded containers, and 30 minute workouts and I was starting Dopey Training so it sat in the box. I read the nutrition guide and even though it does tell you what you can eat... I am not creative, so eating baked chicken and veggies all the time didn't seem very appealing to me at that time. Plus, I was running 80-100 miles a week and I really didn't want to rock the boat with what I was eating. Plus, if I am going to be 100% truthful... I am not used to eating SO MUCH FOOD!!! I have eating issues, sometimes they are under control but a lot of the time they aren't. I wish I could snap my fingers and be "normal" but I can't so I keep trying to do the best I can daily. Usually when people go on a program to lose weight, they are worried about the lack of food that they can eat but on the fix that just isn't the case. I calculated my containers allowed per day and it was A LOT OF FOOD- good, healthy, and whole foods but a lot of it.
Then when I decided to give this hole workout thing a try I went toward a workout that was very cardio focused- T25. We all know how I fell in love with Shaun T and how T25 changed the way I look at fitness and how quality beats quantity. Fast forward to last week, when I really decided that this year I am committed to learn about nutrition and make a difference in my health through the kitchen and not just through my workouts.
So... I am going to be doing the 21 day fix!! I'm going to follow the plan and try my hardest not to cheat ( I'm sure my hubs will try to sabotage me with doughnuts at some point) and I am giving up my diet coke cold turkey (OMG). I'm sure the nutrition aspect is going to be way harder than any workout that Autumn will throw at me. So, stick around and go on this 21 day fix journey with me.
