A Whole New Way to Torture Myself

So, I committed to myself to do the 21 day fix...so that means I get to do the fix workouts for the next 21 days. I was nervous since I have from time to time popped one of the fix workouts in when I needed to switch it up. I haven't done them in a while so I was nervous. A lot of people who do beachbody workouts like the fact that they can do them inside their air conditioned homes and I would TOTALLY recommend doing that. I however, sweat like a PIG so there is no working out in my living room for me. During the early summer, I did put a fan out in the garage but the heat index is still in the  upper nineties.
Today was Total Body Cardio Fix- oh boy! The premise of the 21 day fix workout is usually 4 rounds of 2 exercises repeated twice with each exercise lasting a minute and a 20 second break in between. The major difference for me is that I am not that great at short bursts of explosive movements. Just for the record, these are the LONGEST minutes EVER!!! Did I mention that you have to do 2 sets??? So after you do the first 2 exercises and you now KNOW what is coming, you must do them again. It is a very challenging workout to say the least. Me and my 5 lb. weights will be doing them every day for the next 21 days. My goal with this workout round isn't necessarily to lose weight because let's face it, I don't have much that I can lose. It's all about building strength and continuing to gain confidence. I'm hoping that as I progress that my 5 lb. weights become too easy and I am forced to bump it up. I hope that my abs (which let's be honest aren't what they used to be after 3 kids) will become stronger and more defined. What I am looking forward to most is just growing more comfortable being me.
