Have you ever done something you never thought you would do?? I mean something that you really thought would NEVER happen??
Today that happened to me.
Today I ran under an 8 minute mile. Yes it was only one but it was UNDER 8 MINUTES!!!!
WHAT?!?!?
When I first started running, I remember my goal was to be consistent and stay around 10:30. I NEVER pushed myself because it was just for fun. My goal was just to run and have a good time. As time went by and I added distance my time goal never changed, I just wanted to go further and further until I got burned out. I feel no shame in saying I got burned out. I honestly feel blessed that I ran for as long as I did without ever doing anything else.
People would say - doesn't it get boring and my answer would always be -no. I love running and I still do but my goals and life have changed.
I dedicated way too much time to running that I should have been spending with my family and that is 100% on me! Do I regret it? No! Would I have done things differently? Probably not! But knowing what I do now, I have to be more vigilant in what I give the majority of my time to.

So what does this have to do with doing something you never thought you would do? Well today began my one mile a day #runningwiththecoolkids running streak. One mile a day for the month of October! Today I was able to see that with a little motivation and some new muscles from cross training, what I am actually capable of running.
I never in a million years would have ever thought that I would run a 7:54 mile but I did it!
What are some things that you never thought were possible that you have been able to accomplish??
This month I am focusing on those muscles again! The 21 day fix way!! I am on day 4 and I am in pain in places I NEVER knew existed! I can't wait to see what my results are.
